Hey there, it's the 1st of the month which means we have a new challenge for you over at GoGo Getaway today. It's Lisa's turn to set the challenge this month and she has decided to set a Technique Challenge, her chosen technique being 'Paper Piecing'.
I absolutely love Paper Pieced layouts, you can create some really lovely effects. I've chosen to paper piece some mittens, so that I can document the story of my boy and his 'glubes' that he is somewhat obsessed with.
I choose some wintery paper (even though the photos were taken end of March!) and cut the mittens out of three different colours. I used a cut file as a template but actually hand-cut the pieces. I've used a number of Freckled Fawn embellishments from their December 2017 kit and the alphas I've used are from an older Pinkfresh Collection, so I've done well using up some older stash for this layout!
