When I designed this sketch I had in mind a single (obviously!) feature photo with a bold pattern on one side of the layout. I actually had two photos of this same subject but they were pretty much the same so it was easy to lose one - the second one added no value, so really what was the point of it? I love having just one photo on a layout and I know that isn't to everyone's style, but sometimes there might only be one photo, or that one photo is important enough to warrant a layout all to itself.
My photo was facing the wrong way, so I have flipped the sketch. I chose a very bold pattern for the largest part of the sketch, but I backed the photo with a dark brown which grounds it.
