February 2013 Documented!

Hi Documenters!

Firstly, to see all the Document 2013 class dates please click HERE

I've been busy documenting my February photos and really enjoyed working with this month's kit. I wanted to get the whole love theme in there somehow because of Valentines Day but I didn't want to go overboard so I chose pinks, greens and turquoises which I think work well.

I started out with my February introduction layout which always contains the name of the month, a photo, a calendar and a pocket or envelope. I had a lot of evidence to fit in my tiny envelope this month including something on A4 which was never going to fit so the big piece of kraft card at the bottom is actually an additional pocket and all my extra things fitted nicely in there without becoming overpowering on the layout:

For those who fancy something a little less pink this month, this is the reverse of the intro page which would work just as well for the background. I love this woodgrain and was torn whether to use this or the pink but as my photo had Sophie in a pink dress (what a surprise!) I decided to go for the pink side.

Here's a close up of the numbers for this month. Everything is punched with a little twist of twine stuck on (it's not as hard as it looks I promise)

Here is the first of my divided layouts for the month. This month the layout is divided into four 6x4 landscape pockets and four 3x4 portrait pockets. As part of the kit we have some 3x4 journaling cards that will fit nicely into those little pockets and they can be used for photos or journaling. I had a series of photos to use on this side but have made more of the journaling cards on the next divided layout.

Here's a couple of close ups of some of the divided pockets:

This is the second of my divided layouts (on the back of the first) and you can see that I've used four of the journaling cards in the small pockets:

and a close up of a couple of the pockets from this layout:

And then finally my Focus layout for the month: pancakes!

As for photo requirements, I've used one 6x4 portrait photo on the Intro layout which I've trimmed down to 4 3/4 x4" and on the Focus layout I've used three 6x4 landscape photos which I've each trimmed down to 4 1/2 x 4". As for the divided pages - just bring what you've got and we'll make them fit!

Happy scrapping and I'll see the Documenters on Saturday 16th March.
