Everyday Moments | GoGo Getaway

Tuesday, 8 September 2020

Hey everyone,  I have a new layout to share today. This layout is based on the class taught by the lovely Terhi Koskinen at our GoGo Getaway Cyber Retreat in June 2020. Sadly we couldn't be together in person but we managed to still have a wonderful time and it was great to have Terhi teach a class for us.

Terhi's class was all about colour and using scraps. She taught us to find three colours and to gather scraps and embellishments in those colours and then to position those onto our layout into three groups. The result was so fabulous, such a simple concept and so effective!

For this layout I have used the Pinkfresh Studio Let's Stay Home collection and I picked out the yellow, blue and dark blue colours to create my colourful clusters. I also used quite a few Bramble Fox Perspextives, both for my title and within my clusters.

Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you have enjoyed this layout and will give this technique a try.
Happy scrapping

Sweet Moments | Lottie Loves Paper | Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream

Saturday, 5 September 2020

Hey everyone, I have a new layout and video today for Lottie Loves Paper and I am using the absolutely stunning Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream collection that is new in to Lottie Loves Paper. I know absolutely loads of people pre-ordered this collection so I hope I am able to provide you with some inspiration.

The moment I saw the 'Sweet Serenity' paper I know I just had to use it as a background paper. It is so soft and pretty. Scrapbooking directly onto a patterned background is however quite tricky for me as I like a bit of white space, but I was determined to persevere and use it as an entire background.

My title is from the Daydream die cut titles pack.

I finished off with a fabric heart, lots of sequins from the beautiful Daydream mixed embellishments and two of the paper flowers. I also added splatters of white paint.

Thank you so much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed this layout and my process and that I have given you some inspiration to use that beautiful Sweet Serenity paper.

Happy scrapping

Good Vibes | Hip Kit Club | Cut File using August 2020 Hip Kits

Thursday, 3 September 2020

Hey everyone, I have a new layout for Hip Kit Club to share today using the August kits. This layout is for Cut File Tuesday and I have used an exclusive hexagon background cut file.

You can find the August Hip Kits on the Hip Kit Club websiteand the cut files you can find under the Cut Files Tab. At the time of writing this description the August Cut Files hadn't been loaded onto the website, but they are coming soon so watch out for those.

I cut the hexagon background from the dark navy cardstock from the August Cardstock Kit. I backfilled it using Pocket Life cards from the Pocket Life Kit and papers from the Main Kit. I wanted to use the Wisteria cardstock from the Cardstock kit as my background and added a little mixed media to it before sticking down my backed cut file. I used two inks from the August Color Kit. I've used Soft Lilac and Hydrangea Petals. I pressed the ink pads onto a piece of plastic packaging and added some water, I then pressed the colour onto my background to get a water colour effect. I then added splatters of white acrylic paint. I added my cut file and added lots of dots of the Midnight Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops that was in the August Kit, around the edge of the cut file.

I trimmed down my Wisteria background and added it to the navy and white striped paper from the Main kit, so that a small amount showed each side.

I added my photo and a title from the exclusive Awesome Life die cuts 'Good Vibes'. I added lots of chipboard words and some puffy ephemera. I then added some label stickers using words that were relevant to my photo. I finished off with some black machine stitching down the sides, my journaling and some enamel dots.

I love how this layout turned out...so perfect for the many boys in my life! You can view the process video below.

Thanks so much for joining me today

Take Timeout Together | Bramble Fox | September Fox Box

Hey everyone, I have a new layout for Bramble Fox today using a beautiful title from the September Fox Box. I've chosen to use 'Take Timeout Together' title It's a beautiful plum colour and is frosted, which means it's a little see-through. I love this so much.

My husband and I don't get much alone time (none in fact!) and we recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary whilst on holiday in Lanzarote. We managed a few minutes on our own in the hot tub on the day!

I made this layout using the super pretty Celebrate collection which is a collaboration between Pinkfresh Studio and Altenew. I decided to go for a clean and simple layout so fussy cut lots of flowers. I added my photo to my flower cluster which I then extended with a frame from the Celebrate ephemera. I added my beautiful Bramble Fox title, some thread, some splatters and some sequins and I was done!

I did feel that the layout needed a little something at the top so I added a subtle strip of patterned paper together with another flower and some black machine stitching. I also added a small amount of machine stitching to my photo,

The plum colour of the perspextive goes really well with the pink/grey flowers in the Celebrate collection. I added the work Together underneath to extend the title just using Thickers.

Thanks so much for joining me today, enjoy the process video below and happy scrapping.
