Happy | For the Love of Pretty Paper Guest Design

Sunday 9 December 2018

Hi! I'm a guest designer for For the Love of Pretty Paper today. It's part of the Winter Olympics challenges and this challenge was to incorporate fussy cutting or handstitching or stamping. Well I rose to the challenge and used all three!

I've used the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Studio Midnight collection. I fussy cut lots of flowers and also applied some mixed media colours to the background. I layered the fussy cut flowers on top of the water colour area. I added my photo on top of the flowers.

I then made a jar: I cut the shape from one the papers and cut strips for the lid. I also added some plastic packaging on top and stitched them together and made a little shaker pocket by inserting some chipboard hearts and sequins.

I also hand stitched around the edge of the layout and added a 'Happy' Perspextive by Bramblefox. I stamped some small hearts and added several stickers to the layout and handwrote in my journaling.

Thanks for joining me today and head over to For the Love of Pretty Paper Facebook Group to join in with the Winter Olympic challenges, they are so much fun!

Happy scrapping
Niki xx
