Hey everyone, here is another layout using Simple Vintage Woodlands.  I started with a white background, mounted on a gorgeous green cross-hatch patterned paper.

I added a scalloped border sticker from the Cardstock Stickers along the left edge of the layout and balanced it with a smaller version of the same scallop, this time from the Ephemera, on the opposite side.

I used one large photo, which I mounted on dark brown paper to coordinate with the scallops. I placed it on the background, layering it with a tag from the Tag Elements paper, some beautiful Floral Bits, and a large camera sticker from the Cardstock Stickers.

To create balance, I added a smaller cluster in the opposite bottom corner of the photo, featuring hiking boots, a camera, another scalloped strip, and more Floral Bits.

My title, “wander,” comes from the Foam Stickers and sits on the right side of the layout, giving it a lovely split design feel. I built up that area with more small Floral Bits, a few hearts, phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers, and my handwritten journaling.

I finished all the clusters with Decorative Brads - I love using these for the extra texture and dimension they bring! Finally, I added some black paint splatters to complete the layout.

Thanks so much for joining me today, and happy scrapping!

Into the Woods | Simple Stories | Simple Vintage Woodlands

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share a new layout I created using the fabulous Simple Vintage Woodlands collection. My daughter recently went on her very first Duke of Edinburgh Expedition hike, so this collection was absolutely perfect for those photos!

I was inspired by a circle on one of the journaling spots, which led me to design the layout around a circular theme. I cut a circle from one of the patterned papers, then layered it with a larger open circle in a contrasting colour. I distressed the edges of both before mounting them onto a white background.

That white background was then mounted on another patterned paper, a cross-hatch design, which is definitely one of my favourite patterns!

For the photo, I placed it over the original journaling spot, mostly covering the circle but leaving the hiking boots, compass, and binoculars visible. I layered it with a large piece of ephemera, two tags from the Tags Elements paper tied with ribbon, and some lovely Floral Bits.

My title, “into the woods,” comes from the Bits & Pieces and is raised on foam pads to add some dimension.

To finish, I added beautiful butterflies clustered at the top right of the circles, balanced everything with a narrow strip at the bottom, and scattered a few phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers, hearts, Decorative Brads, and some black paint splatters.

Thanks so much for joining me today, and happy scrapping!
