When I found a very cute hedgehog just wandering around in the middle of the day, of course I took a hundred photos and put him on a scrapbook page! The Simple Vintage Autumn Breeze collection by Simple Stories was perfect! I cut out that tree and house from beautiful papers in the 6x8 Paper pad to make my background and then added a photo strip and lots of pretty embellishments!
Update on the hedgehog: obviously hedgehogs aren't supposed to be awake during the day so we called Hedgehog Rescue who came and collected him and took him away for a check up, then re-released him. What a cutie!
Hey everyone, here is another layout using the gorgeous All Wrapped Up
collection, I chose that beautiful pale cross-hatch paper for my background , how
stunning is that paper?!
I cut out lots of tags from the Tags Elements paper (always
one of my faves!) and added different ribbons to each one. I made eight in
total and layered them down both sides of my layout, with the tags facing
inwards. I love how this turned out, it created the perfect space in the centre
for a long title!
I added my two photos onto some paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad
to give them a nice mount before placing them over the tags.
In the middle of the layout, I added some festive words from
the Foam Stickers: ‘cheer’, ‘hohoho’, and ‘joy’. I absolutely adore the style
of these Foam Sticker titles!
Next, I added lots of little details to the tags: cute
pieces from the Bits and Pieces pack, including a gorgeous vintage Santa,
gifts, candy canes, holly leaves, and plenty of stars.
To finish, I popped on a few Decorative Brads for extra
texture, added my handwritten journaling, and splattered a little white paint
for a snowy finishing touch.
Here’s a new layout for Simple Stories using the gorgeous
All Wrapped Up collection! This collection is full of traditional Christmas
colours and the cutest festive icons.
For this layout, I started with that beautiful red paper
covered in musical notes. I cut it into a large circle and added it to a white
cardstock background.
I layered up my family photo with several trees. I
absolutely adore the trees in this collection! They’re divided into different
sections, each with its own colours and patterns, and they’re just so cute. I
made a feature of them around my photo.
For my title, I used the word ‘merry’ from the Foam
Stickers. Some of the letters are divided up in the same way as the trees,
totally adorable!
I added a few embellishments around my tree clusters,
including flowers and leaves from the Bits & Pieces, along with gifts and
other decorations. I also added a few stars, some from the Bits & Pieces and others
from the Foam Stickers.
I always love using the Decorative Brads, they add great texture and dimension to my
layouts, so I always reach for them. This layout was no exception; I dotted a
few around the page.
To finish, I added a few phrase stickers from the Cardstock
Stickers and some splatters of black paint for a final touch!
I think this layout turned out really cute, and the All
Wrapped Up collection is just gorgeous.
Hey everyone! Here’s the layout I created for the November
Cybercrop Moodboard Challenge. The moodboard was full of pinks, soft pastels,
pretty details, crafty elements, and flowers so right up my street!
I used the Crafty Babe collection by Simple Stories to
document the last ever group photo from our final GoGo Getaway residential
retreat back in June. Such fabulous memories from an unforgettable weekend!
For the design, I placed my photo in the centre with two
patterned paper strips running down either side of the page. The embellishments
cascade down from the photo, flowing into my stacked title: “I’m a totally
fabulous crafty girl”, and honestly, what a perfect title for this page!
I had so much fun with the oversized tags on this month’s For the Love of Pretty Paper sketch! I made two giant tags with patterned papers which I balanced with the
bright strip at the bottom. To make my tags look authentic, I made contrasting circles
for the holes to go through…just like a pre-made tag! I used the very cute Fur
Baby Cat collection by Simple Stories to scrap some funny photos of my cat
trying to sit on my husband’s head! She really loves him!

Boo! I had so much fun
creating this Halloween layout with the Simple Stories Spooky Things
collection. My little boy is obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas and
dressed up as Jack Skellington last year. We carved pumpkins inspired by the
characters, so for this layout I hand-drew a template of the Oogie Boogie Man,
cut him out of black cardstock, and layered him over that gorgeous purple
starry paper which makes such a fun feature!
I added my photo alongside lots of Bits & Pieces and
Decorative Brads, plus spooky spider webs and ghosts to ramp up the Halloween
vibes. It turned out super-spooky and perfectly captures our faBOOlous fun!
Here's another layout made with Simple Vintage Autumn Breeze. For this layout, I went with one of my favourite classic
designs featuring a large torn section of patterned paper at the top. I chose
the stunning burnt orange check pattern paired with those fabulous stripes,
making sure the torn edges varied in height and shape for a layered and
textured look.
I mounted my two photos on another patterned paper and
balanced them with an adorable journaling card from the Journal Bits pack that
says, “you’re the pick of the patch”, so cute! I layered the photos and
journaling card over the torn section, adding two oversized pumpkins from the
Floral Bits for extra autumn charm.
Then came the fun part, adding layers of embellishments!
More Floral Bits and Bits & Pieces plus playful Foam Stickers. I used
“gather together” for my title and layered in phrase stickers like “this
moment,” “making moments,” and “splendour,” extending the theme with phrases
from the Cardstock Stickers too.
To finish, I added my handwritten journaling, foam sticker
hearts, plenty of decorative brads, and some black paint splatters for a final
touch!
I love how the rich paper patterns contrast beautifully with
the crisp white background for such a fresh, warm autumn vibe!
Hey everyone! I’m
excited to share a new layout I’ve created for Simple Stories using what might
just be their most beautiful autumn collection yet…Simple Vintage Autumn
Breeze.
The moment I saw that stunning pumpkin paper, I knew I had
to feature it. I carefully fussy cut around some of the pumpkins, removing a
section from the middle of the paper. I backed it with a warm orange polka dot
print from the same collection. The solid background balances out the busy
pumpkin border perfectly, and I’m so happy with how it frames the whole page!
I mounted my photo on the left side and balanced it with a
sweet journaling piece on the right that reads “Leaves are Falling, Autumn is
Calling.” Around the photo, I layered Floral Bits and Bits & Pieces to add layers,
depth and texture. For the title, I chose the large foam sticker “Fabulous”,
paired with the foam subtitle “Cool & Crisp”.
To finish, I created a small cluster at the top right…three
cardstock sticker phrases, a couple of Decorative Brads, and some heart-shaped
Bits & Pieces. I added in more hearts, more brads, my handwritten
journaling, and a few splatters of black paint for that perfect finishing touch!
I absolutely love how this turned out, especially that
pumpkin border! I hope it inspires you
to embrace all the cosy autumn vibes in your own layouts!
I’m loving this month’s For the Love of Pretty Paper sketch! The
cobweb design was the perfect excuse to dive into my Halloween stash, so I
reached for the adorable Spooky Things collection by Simple Stories which is
their 2025 Halloween release.
It’s adorable and I loved using it for this sketch! I loved making that background square. I fussy
cut around the cobwebs on the paper so that some peek out beyond the edges, I
love the look!

Here’s my version of this month’s GoGo Getaway Cybercrop
challenge which was a Tic Tac Toe grid. We all know how these work: pick three
in a row and include those elements on your layout. The row can be horizontal, vertical
or diagonal or you can go for a full house and use ALL of the elements!
That’s
what I did, I used the whole lot and here is the layout I made. I used the fabulous Book Fair collection by
Simple Stories to make a school themed layout – I’ve been catching up on my
backlog of school photos for a while now and this photo is another throwback
from several years ago that I’ve been meaning to scrap for ages! I love all the
bold stripes in the background and the oversized photo!
